At Serpentine Jewels, sourcing is foundational to everything we do.
We work directly with a global network of trusted dealers, cutters, and suppliers—relationships built over years in the trade. This access allows us to source exceptional diamonds and colored gemstones with a clear understanding of where they come from, how they were handled, and why they stand apart.
Our approach is rooted in selectivity and longevity. We prioritize stones chosen for their beauty, character, and integrity—pieces that will endure, both physically and aesthetically, for generations.
Vintage and estate jewelry plays an equally important role in our practice. By sourcing existing pieces, we extend the life of extraordinary jewels and bring forward designs that cannot be replicated today. These acquisitions are not only sustainable by nature, but also deeply aligned with how we think about collecting—thoughtfully, and over time.
For newly created pieces, we work with suppliers who adhere to recognized industry standards, including the Kimberley Process for diamonds, and we are committed to responsible sourcing practices across categories. When possible, we incorporate recycled gold. We also often work with heirloom or antique diamonds and gemstones.
Sustainability, for us, is not a single initiative—it is a way of working, guiding what we bring into the world and what we choose to preserve.
